Governor Pulaali’i attends the dedication ceremony of the Ta’Å« Consolidated Elementary School.

Ta’Å«, Manu’a - Following the dedication of the Fitiuta Elementary’s new gymnasium, the Honorable Governor attended a ceremony hosted by the Department of Education to dedicate the newly established Ta’Å« Consolidated Elementary.
In a brief and heartfelt ceremony, Governor Pulaalii congratulated the Department of Education for another successful milestone, highlighting the steady progress our territory continues to make in improving the educational system for our children. The Governor highlighted the importance of safety in schools, particularly for the well-being of students, and offered his best wishes to the children attending the new consolidated elementary school, encouraging them to pursue a bright and successful future.
DOE Director Maefau Dr. Mary Lauagaia Taufete’e conveyed her deep appreciation to all who contributed to making this project possible, as she was given the honor of performing the ribbon-cutting ceremony by Governor Pulaalii. She also acknowledged and honored the work of those who came before her and laid the foundation that led to this achievement. Special thanks were given to the Manu’a Development Corporation, the contractor responsible for the construction.
The Ta’Å« Consolidated Elementary School brings together students from Ta’Å« and Faleasao Elementary Schools. The consolidation was necessary after safety concerns arose due to ocean hazards and the deteriorating condition of the old Faleasao school building. The total cost of the project was a little over $1.9 million, funded through the Capital Improvement Projects under the Governor’s Office.
Congratulations to Ta’Å« Consolidated Elementary School on this meaningful new beginning!
